Wednesday 9th, 16th 23rd & 30th March.
Poverty Supper at 6pm, followed by Lent course in the hall. Signup sheet in church.
How often do we say, “I’m very well, thank you,” when we don’t feel well at all? We don’t like making ourselves vulnerable to others, and it takes quite a lot of courage to utter the truth. So, we live with the stuff that makes us not very well. And that can be a very heavy burden to bear.
The season of Lent offers us an opportunity to lay down the things that burden us. Lent is a season of safety when we can admit that not all is well. It gives us permission to review our lives and be honest about how we damage ourselves, other people, and the world we inhabit.
